From time to time I build a new website, and the start of a new year seemed as good a reason as any. Previous incarnations of my website have always been portfolio sites (and poor ones at that) that always showed employment and education and some of my open-source contributions. This time I have decided to do it differently, 2019 is the year I start a blog.
I have been reading a few blog posts from the people I follow on twitter describing their achievements in 2018, which made me reflect on mine. I have had a good year at work and looking forward to the next 12 months with the company I work for, however I don't feel like I have achieved much on a personal level unless starting and abandoning several side projects count (it does not).
So what are my goals for 2019?
- Write blog posts (expect topics such as php, laravel, vue, and node) I plan for a new post every couple of weeks.
- Be more active on twitter.
- Build and launch a side project (even if its a beta release).
- And on a personal note I am trying to move house so hopefully that will happen this year.
These goals are not that large but seem reasonable with working a 40 hour a week job.
I'd love to hear what your goals are for 2019, say hi on twitter.
